You've probably heard it - smoking marijuana will make you into a Heroin/Meth/Cocaine addict. I've heard it from my parents regularly (especially now, since I'm under house arrest for supposedly smoking cannabis), and even more recently, from an article my parents read on marijuana.
Sorry, Conservatives and Christians, your theory is easily crushed.
The way the government got this "fact" was by looking at cocaine users and seeing the 17% of cocaine users have tried Marijuana. Then they somehow omit the fact that 83% of people who have tried pot have never tried Cocaine. How the FUCK did that happen? Easy answer - they just need something to battle the "evils" of pot. Unfortunately, they lack any real evidence, so they need to resort to bullshit.
Personally, I've seen that, though most of my friends have at least tried Pot; not even one has even a thought of trying Cocaine, or any other "hard drug".
Now go and smoke a joint, and tell the Republicans to fuck off.
